Digestive Health

Digestive health refers to the overall well-being and functioning of the digestive system, which includes all the organs involved in the process of digestion. These organs include the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine (colon), rectum, and anus.

Maintaining this is important because the digestive system is responsible for breaking down food into nutrients, absorbing those nutrients into the body, and eliminating waste products. When the digestive system is functioning properly, it ensures the body receives the necessary nutrients for energy, growth, and repair.

Several factors can affect digestive health, including diet, lifestyle, stress levels, and underlying medical conditions. This can result in various symptoms and conditions such as indigestion, heartburn, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
